(Washington, DC) — The NASW Metro DC Chapter PACE, the political action committee of NASW/Metro DC, has chosen to endorse Graham McLaughlin for At-Large Councilmember

As the largest professional association of social workers in the area, representing over 1,000 members, NASW Metro DC sees Graham McLaughlin as the best representative to drive impact on NASW Metro DC legislative priorities.

These priorities include racial, social, and economic justice, ensuring affordable and accessible healthcare, juvenile and criminal justice, immigration protection, and regulatory matters impacting the social work profession.

'We believe Graham has the record of service and compassionate outlook to focus on these priorities, and the professional experience and skills to actually turn them into legislative and cultural reality across DC" said Debra Riggs, executive director of NASW Metro DC.

In their written endorsement, NASW Metro DC noted, "We believe (Graham's) platform aligns with our NASW core values- service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. This includes (Graham's) community work with returning citizens."

“I’m grateful to NASW Metro DC for their faith in me, and to the thousands of social workers across our city providing compassionate and competent support seeing the dignity and divinity in every human being they interact with,” said Graham McLaughlin.

DC Deserves Better. Graham and NASW Metro DC look forward to working together to drive positive change in the city.
