The Future is Here: Ethical What If's of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial Intelligence does not have to be scary; in fact, it may be the solution to areas of social work practice we have been searching for and may assist is unburdening our burnout. Let’s explore the history of social work and the ground-breaking efforts that seemed ‘far-fetched’, examine solutions of how to align AI to get it right in areas of building trust, involving diverse voices, reducing bias and discrimination, and learn the different forms of AI and the ethical dilemmas behind each.


Learning Objectives:
1. Explore and learn the history of social work and ground-breaking efforts that catapulted the profession.
2. Examine solutions to align AI towards building trust, involving diverse perspectives, and aligning AI with our work.
3. Explore and understand the ethical challenges of AI technology in social work practice.
4. Develop 3 next steps towards using AI positively in micro, mezzo, or macro practice.

 

Upon completion of this course attendees will earn 2.5 Category I Contact Hours, including 2.5 Ethics Hours.

Presenter:
Dana Johnson, MSW, CAPSW, holds a Master's of Social Work degree and is licensed to practice social work in the State of Wisconsin. He has over 10 years of direct practice experience; particularly in the area of child welfare, supervision, agency and culture change, and administration. His areas of expertise and interest include leadership development, innovation theory, child welfare services and reform, ethics and boundaries, trauma-informed care, LGBTQ+ and diversity, and supervision in social work. Mr. Johnson is the owner and lead facilitator and trainer of Grow My Life, LLC.

If you choose the "Bill Me" option during checkout, please mail payment within 7 days of registering in order to hold your seat. You will receive a confirmation email with your purchase information following checkout; this will serve as your invoice, no other invoices will be provided.

If a registrant cancels more than 10 days before the event, a refund will be issued by check or credit back to your credit card, minus a 10% administrative fee. If cancelation occurs less than 10 days prior to the event, no refund will be issued but you may request a credit towards a future training to be used within 1 year of the cancelation date. Call the Chapter Office (804-204-1339) to cancel within 10 days of the training. A request for credit may be granted at the discretion of the Executive Director in case of a documented emergency.
