Leveraging Technology to Combat Burnout: Personal and Professional Considerations

Registration link: Click Here

Description:

Social workers face high levels of burnout and are at an increased risk of compassion fatigue. There is significant evidence supporting the benefits of tech-based apps for reducing burnout among helping professionals. However, there are many barriers that prevent clinicians from fully realizing the value these tools provide. How can clinicians find the time and protected space to utilize tools that are proven to reduce stress and burnout? Considerations for implementing tech-based interventions will be addressed.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will identify sources of burnout in their personal and professional lives.

  2. Participants will identify the barriers that exist in implementing tech-based self-care apps.

  3. Participants will locate one tech-based app that can be utilized to prevent or reduce burnout and promote healing. Participants will identify the need for self-care and determine how it relates to the core principles stated in the NASW Code of Ethics.

Upon completion of this course attendees will earn 2 Category I Contact Hours.
